The verdict is in: City Splash is here to stay
The High Court yesterday (Wed 6 May) dismissed Protect Brockwell Park’s third judicial review against Lambeth Council — all five grounds ruled unarguable. Brockwell Live’s 2026 festivals run as planned across the next two weekends: Field Day, Mighty Hoopla, Cross The Tracks and, on 26 May, City Splash.
City Splash founder Ben Ryan met the verdict head-on in the Voice: “Black music events like City Splash are here to stay.” He pointed to the hundreds of thousands of pounds spent across three court cases — money he says could go to “real social issues in the community.”
The lineup answers the rest. Beres Hammond returns to the UK for the first time in eight years. Aidonia, Elephant Man, Gyptian, Jada Kingdom, Queen Ifrica and Lutan Fyah join him on the bill.
Twenty days out.
